Hello, This is Obstacles Calling...
What if you were to pick up the phone and heard someone on the other line state, “hello, this is obstacles calling. May I speak to (insert your name here).” I guarantee we would all go as white as a ghost and quickly hang up. I mean, I know I would. No one wants to hear that. We all have the end goal to be happy, healthy and wealthy, but what if obstacles were the keys to unlocking just that. Obstacles. Such a funny word when you think about it. It’s a word that we all fear, but a word with such child-like wonder.

I’ve been reading the book You Are A Dream, by Guillaume Wolf and he states "Every obstacle you face is a test that challenges you to improve. And the more you grow creatively, the more you’re able to tackle greater obstacles. Creative growth feeds upon itself.”. It’s the authentic self. That’s the bottom line. We put up all these personas for different groups to see only to, maybe, reveal our true self in the corridors of our own rooms. Like I said maybe. Sometimes we put up such a persona, we forget our actually identity.
This is where our core comes from. By core, I mean our true self our inner fire. You need to connect with that fire at your inner being because that fire is unstoppable. Obstacles forces you to rely on yourself and push you out of what you thought you knew. In the face of any obstacles, you must start living as you because you have no choice. Obstacles formed so you can truly be yourself; it’s in these moments that the personas come down and you start embracing you. In this case, some might not want to, but now you have to.
You see, the gifts of our lives or our creative lives is the process in and of itself. Next time the phone rings and obstacles on the other line, don’t hang up. Answer the phone bravely and confidently. For everything in life is our teacher, and those that are destined for greatness understands how to anticipate obstacles, not how to run away from them. Actually, they enjoy obstacles. They know they have to grow just like the world grows. And the only way to fully immerse themselves in growth is their highly anticipated phone call from obstacle.
