London 2018
If you know me, you know I am obsessed with London. Why? I genuinely have no idea. I guess its a sense of belonging that I feel, comfort, warmth, home - so many ways to describe London other than its a pretty city. My first footsteps were imprinted on Londons grounds two years ago during my endeavors at the National Theatre Institute. This time frame was more for studies as opposed to play; although when you’re in theatre, you’re always playing. Bottom line, there wasn’t much time for exploration of the city; our schedules were packed to the rim with trainings and evening shows, but for some odd reason, I still felt this sense of “I’ve been here already”. Come to think of it, my second and most recent time in London had very little time for exploration as well.
It seems as though, every time I come to London, it’s for reasons other than leisure, but I don’t mind it. At this moment in time, I’ve embarked in the world of crypto currencies as a media correspondent / spokesmodel. It’s only been four months as I still have so much to learn. I wouldn’t say I feel completely comfortable speaking fully on its behalf, but I can say I am a lot more comfortable prior to beginning. Each conference, I gain more knowledge and more confidence, however, it’s an industry you need to research outside of the grounds.
This past trip, we attended the World Blockchain Forum held at Old Billingsgate event venue. To this date, it has to be one of my favorite conferences. For networking purposes, it has exceeded my expectations. At lot more transpired throughout the event, but lets just say I won’t bore you wit details ;). On the last day, we had very little time to explore, but we managed. My friend/coworker Abigail wasn’t able to site see last time, so I’m very glad I was able to show her around. At first, we were trying to store our bags at the Sheraton near Buckingham Palace, they ever “so kindly” said no, but then a wonderful gentleman named Omar came out and snuck our bags in. We wandered around Buckingham, Big Ben (which had construction) and areas far few and in between. Due to our extensive exploration, we almost missed our flight to Barcelona for the Blockchain Cruise, but shout out to our Uber Driver for being an absolute doll and saving our a$$. Needless to say, London you always have my heart. See you soon. XOXO
